MASSAGE THERAPY

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage uses stronger and more direct strokes which aid in breaking down scar tissue in order to recover from an injury or heal from acute or chronic pain. These deeper strokes can also increase joint flexibility and hone in on more specific areas of the body.

Harmonyum
Harmonyum is a gentle but powerful healing modality that works on the autonomic system. The practitioner uses very light or no touch working energetically to guide you to a healthier body and mind. This work brings relaxation, clarity, and peace for those who need to de-stress or/and cope with trauma.

Hot Stone
Lava Stones combine smooth hot basalt stones and cold marble stones to massage and invigorate the body. The heat and energy from the stones allows the therapist to penetrate deeply for a truly soothing experience. Applying thermotherapy (hot and/or cold stones) can change the physiological responses that are occurring and be an effective tool for healing.

Pre-Natal Massage
Pre-natal massage provides many benefits for both the mother and fetus. In addition to the physical stresses of pregnancy, massage can provide emotional support with its healing touch. Circulation of the blood is one of the major benefits for the mother as her circulation can be compromised in pregnancy as a result of the body's concentration on the fetus. Massage also releases built up tension that results from added stress to the mother's body. Much of the physical problems due to pregnancy such as insomnia, sciatica, edema, leg cramps etc. can be diminished and sometimes alleviated by massage.

Sports Massage
Sports massage is used before or after an event in order to enhance an athlete's performance. A massage before performance loosens tight muscles, increases flexibility and energy, and helps prevent injuries. A massage post-performance helps prevent stiffness, reduces inflammation and relieves tension.

Swedish Massage
Swedish massage aids in relaxation and pain reduction. Gliding and kneading strokes increase circulation of blood and lymph fluids and help release toxins that store up in the body.

Thai Yoga Massage
It is an ancient healing art that incorporates hatha yoga, acupressure, ayurvedic medicine, martial arts, and Buddhist philosophy. The practitioner uses hands, feet, arms, and legs to stretch and tonify muscles, improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, boost the immune system and balance the body energetically and spiritually.
